An Emptiness

Is there something that influences the way you select and capture each moment?

The Japanese philosophy of emptiness is a big inspiration for me, I always try to remind myself of it because sometimes I want too much in one photograph and then it doesn't feel right anymore and when this balance between nothing and everything feels good I think the photo also feels good for me.

Also the aspect of 'being in the now' feels very important for me, especially when I am making portraits; a kind of silence and nowness. And honesty, its magical when someone lets you see how they are without posing or some kind of attitude they have given themselves, to feel safe or good.
